Microsoft Auto Wants to One-Up OnStar

As the plan for Dr. Evil-like advances to world domination, Microsoft wants to establish a self-World automotive industry than in the first-tier supplier with entertainment and information systems are in partnership with Ford.

The software is called the Microsoft Auto and technology, the company has plans that go beyond the voice-activation for the MP3 player, such as the Microsoft-powered Sync , the system is already doing. Microsoft wants to take the concept behind Sync and OnStar and fuse it into all the purpose of the programme, which is doing its utmost not only to drink and drive themselves.
Staying fully voice-activated controls, the programme will provide real-time traffic updates and instant direction, in order to provide that the most fuel-efficient, fastest or most scenic route, amongst others. For example, if you want to find a specific type of restaurant, to circumvent the traffic jam, or download music, Microsoft is planning to integrate all this technology together seamlessly. In addition, the software will allow vehicles to communicate with each other on the road, which should in theory help to avoid accidents.

All of this sounds expensive, but Microsoft wants a foot in much of the decline in advertising your dashboard. On the other hand, charge monthly fee, the plan is to sell advertising space on the system - advertising, which should be tailored to destinations.

For example, if you ask to find a movie theater, a small ad hottest new movie (Owen Wilson vehicle "Drillbit Taylor," for example) should appear on the dashboard (though this could be 10-15 years in the future, So, it could be a "Drillbit Taylor 3").

If this sounds a bit Big Brotherish to you, well, it is, but Microsoft is betting that you will not care.
