Freeware SmartSniff 1.37

SmartSniff allows capture TCP / IP-packets that pass through your network adapter, and view data captured as a sequence of conversations between clients and servers. You can view the TCP / IP conversations in the mode of Ascii (for text based protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, POP3 and FTP.) Or as a dump. (for non-text based protocols, for example, DNS)
System requirements: SmartSniff may reflect the TCP / IP-packets on any 32 - bit operating systems Windows (Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP) as long as hostage WinPcap driver installed and working with your network adapter.
Under Windows 2000/XP (or more), SmartSniff also allows capture TCP / IP-packets without installing any driver capture, with the help of "Raw Sockets" method. Nevertheless, this method of capture has some limitations and problems: Outgoing UDP and ICMP-packages are not captured. In Windows XP SP1 outgoing packets are not captured at all - Thanks to Microsoft's error that appeared in SP1 update ... This error was corrected to update SP2, but under Vista, Microsoft returned outgoing packets of XP/SP1 error. In Windows Vista with SP1, only UDP packets captured. TCP-packages are not captured at all.
What's new in version 1.37: The bug: The main window lost his mind when the user switched to another application, and then returned back to SmartSniff.
