Ping Utilities - NetPing v2.01
Ping Utility - NetPing v2.01 has been established for the sole purpose of giving the status of ADSL internet connection. It will indicate how in the tray on the desktop (if included) and sound (if enabled) any change in status. You can also enter events leading file a detailed way your service provider gives you.
Ping Utility - NetPing v2.01 passes ICMP Echo datagram to the remote system (multiple sites simultaneously or sequentially). If the remote returns a message, the connection will be considered valid. If the remote system does not repeat the message, it means that only a remote system did not respond. That is, the lack of response may be due to various reasons (you do not connect to the network, the remote can not be linked, remote can not support a request to repeat, or it may simply be too busy to answer).
So the philosophy is simple: You ping-known sites on the Internet. If you get a response, Internet access, should work. You must choose at least three different sites to make sure you cover the downtime for maintenance, etc. If all sites down (No answer ping), your connection to the Internet itself down. Before you add the site to ping, please make sure the site is actually responsible for ping-message.
